Island of Tasmania Tours

Introduction

It’s great that you have come to visit Tasmania and see the best of what this island has to offer. We look forward to assist you in this endeavour and bring this Island to life for you. We also recommend taking out travel insurance for those unforeseen things that can occur. We encourage you to read our terms and conditions below as booking a tour with us will be taken to mean that you agree to them.

Suitability

Our tours are not particularly challenging and are suitable for most people eight years and above. They involve short walks on walking tracks, and lake shores, sometimes with uneven ground, wet surfaces and patches of snow. If you are up for this you are welcome to attend. In addition to this the Mount Wellington Arrival tour involves a 90-minute walk. It is not recommended for those with mobility challenges or who find walking challenging. In this instance we recommend you book our Mount Wellington beyond a passing glance tour instead.
While we will make an effort to make the tours special for all guests, no refunds or compensation will be provided for guests that are not suited to their particular tour. Remember to bring the things in the what to bring lists as this will increase your chances of a good experience.
People under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult on our tours.

Changes to tour itineraries and timings

The majority of our tours will run according to our tour descriptions. However, tour itineraries may change due to snow, ice, road closures and other reasons including for your safety. In these circumstances compensation or refunds will not be provided. In situations where you do not get your desired weather conditions or views likewise, no refunds will be provided. In the unlikely event that these changes affect your travel plans (eg a road is closed, we take a longer rout back and arrive back later) we are not liable and travel insurance is recommended to cover these circumstances.

Cancellation

Occasionally due to snow, ice, bushfires and for other reasons we need to cancel a tour. In this instance, we will either refund the tour fee or find alternative dates or trips for guests who would still like to attend. We will not be liable for anything in addition to the tour fee due to the cancellation. This includes booking and bank fees and any other claims for compensation.

Cancellation process and alteration of bookings

Cancellation can be done by sending us an email or via the “contact us” on our website. A written cancellation message is required if not attending any booked tour.
Cancellations received less than 48 hours before tour departure will result in no refund. The same will apply for those not present at the tour departure point at the agreed time which will be construed as a cancellation. However, should you want to change to another of our tours less than 48 hours before the booked tour commences this may be possible when you contact us, but we cannot guarantee you will definitely get a tour.
When cancellation is requested via email more than 48 hours before a departure, alternative tours or tour times can be looked into. If this is not possible or if a refund is requested instead, you will be refunded the tour fee component.

If guests need to cancel on the day of the tour, please call our tour guide directly to avoid inconvenience to other guests.

Email us or contact us through our website or call us on 0413 722 441, if you wish to cancel, change your booking or have any concerns or questions, we will respond as early as we can.
